Ethos Gold Corp (OTCMKTS:ETHOF) on September 29, 2021, announced the drill results from the first reconnaissance, wide-spaced drill at Perk-Rocky Copper-Gold Porphyry Project. It is located 200 kilometers west of Williams Lake.
The site has a huge 8 by 5-kilometer highly prospective porphyry-style alteration footprint, having a lot of copper sulfides at the surface. The initiative is the first attempt for drill testing.
Following were the results shared by the firm. Six widely spaced diamond drill holes across three areas were finished and they covered an east-west span of about 6 km. Drilling focusing on three target areas had been noted during earlier sampling as well as mapping programs. Five of the holes have intervals of anomalous Copper and intense alteration. Additionally, Shortwave Infrared analysis demonstrated alteration minerals including topaz as well as abundant pyrophyllite, which is consistent with advanced argillic assemblage.
The zones are located within advanced argillic zones and are dominated by quartz-sericite± illite-pyrite. Both QSP as well as AA alteration are surrounded by greater distal chlorite-albite-epidote-magnetite-pyrite altered rock. Furthermore, low-grade or barren QSP, as well as AA alteration zones, are in the upper parts of porphyry Cu-Au deposits. The follow-up work was focused on the re-interpretation of geophysical datasets instituting new drill hole information.
