Medical Stocks to Watch: HALB, RSHN, AVRN, THRM

When it comes to the stock market, it is often a better idea for investors to concentrate on sectors rather than on individual stocks. If a particular sector is doing well then it may be a good idea to look into some select stocks from the sector and then make a decision one way or another.

One of the sectors that is on the up at this point in time is the medical sector. It has managed to deliver significant gains over the course of the past couple of years and it may be a good time to take a look at some of those. Here is a look at four medical stocks you could look into.

Halberd Corp (OTCMKTS:HALB)

The first of the medical stocks that you could look into today is that of Halberd Corporation. The company is one of the better-known names in its industry and as it happens, earlier on in the week it had announced that it had a breakthrough in the field of neurodegenerative diseases treatment. It may be a good idea for investors to perhaps take a closer look into it and then make their minds up about the stock.

The company announced that it had been successful in eliminating glutamate from the cerebral spinal fluid. It was a significant breakthrough for Halberd since the company had also been to display its capability to control ten of the most prevalent neurodegenerative disease-causing antigens. The importance of this discovery lies in the fact that it could help in completing changing the way in which PTSD, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and other neurodegenerative diseases could be treated.

Rushnet Inc (OTCMKTS:RSHN)

The next one on the list is RushNet Inc which had also been in the news not too long ago. Back on February 18, the company had come into significant focus among investors after it announced that the current audit on to its books was progressing well.

The audit is being conducted by the firm Somerset CPAs and Advisors. RushNet noted that the work is progressing on expected lines. On February 18 the company announced that the fifth audit was being conducted and that was another important thing that must have been noted by investors.

However, in addition to that audit, it is perhaps important to note that Somerset has been conducting a highly thorough audit. Somerset had earlier had a field visit to the company’s site at Alpharetta and had spent as long as a week at the place. It was also revealed last week that the Somerset Advisors team might have another field visit to the headquarters of Somerset Advisors.

AVRA Inc (OTCMKTS:AVRN)

Avra Inc operates under the name Springs Rejuvenation at this point in time. It is actually the name of the anti-aging and stem cell center that the company owns at Chamblee in Georgia.

Earlier in the week, it had come into considerable focus after Avra Inc announced that in the fourth quarter it had managed to boost its earnings by more than 200% on a sequential basis. It goes without saying that such a rise on a sequential basis is considerable and hence, there might be some bullish sentiments with regards to the Avra stock at this point in time.

In addition to that, it is perhaps also necessary to point out that the earnings in the fourth quarter almost matched the earnings that had been generated by the company in the previous three quarters combined. It is now going to be interesting to see if the Avra stock gathers any traction or not.

Therma Bright (CVE:THRM) (OTCQB:TBRIF)

Last but certainly not least, Therma Bright is a medical stock that could be added to the watch lists at this point. The company is best known for the AcuVid™ COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Saliva Test and other innovative medical devices. Yesterday the company announced that a United States patent had been allowed for an application to the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

The patent in question is with regards to a device that uses a detachable applicator for the purposes of antimicrobial treatment and applying heat. It was a significant development for the company and it will be interesting to see how the whole thing progresses over the coming days.
