Bion Receives Fourth U.S. Patent on Advanced Livestock Waste Treatment Technology

Bion Environmental Technologies Inc (OTCMKTS:BNET) on March 16, 2022 announced that fourth patent pertaining to third-generation technology platform was issued recently by U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

The company’s 3G Tech gives advanced livestock waste treatment, which would mitigate environmental impacts of livestock production, recover renewable energy and coproducts from waste stream. The fresh patent is a continuation of original 3G Tech patent, expanding claims to include additional recovery methods. Furthermore, it will improve efficiencies and lower operating costs.

Bion’s 3G Tech is covered by four patents including No. 107,934,458, issued on October 6, 2020, strengthening the company’s  IP position. The firm is anticipating filing extra patent applications pertaining to the developments, including optimisation trials completed in February 2021.

Craig Scott, Bion’s Director of Communications said that the company will expand protection of its IP, which would play a vital role in opportunities and challenges facing the global livestock industry.

Scott added that US livestock production has impacted climate change and water quality, calling for action from environmental advocacy groups and consumer groups. He added that the industry must clean up the environmental impacts, verify cleanup and also communicate to consumers. The firm’s third-generation technology platform, with over 3 decades of experience checks all the boxes.
