The company has announced that its Motorclub platform sold close to $15,000 of 1-of-1 Nonfungible tokens (NTs) at the Barrett-Jackson’s Las Vegas auction between July 1 and 2, 2022. The NFTs were sold in two lots within two days, and the six NFTs make up Barrett-Jackson 50th Anniversary Collection, a 3-series NT drop comprising 18 premium collectible 1-of-1 NFTs. The NFTs offered without any reserve in the series feature six-vehicle sales picked to represent the Barrett-Jackson 50th anniversary Collection for Series 2 to be offered in Las Vegas, including 1971 Plymouth HEMI ‘Cuda –lot #4000 available at $1,400, 1967 Chevrolet Yenko Super Camaro 427/450-lot #4001 sold for $900 and 1959 Buick Invicta Custom Coupe “Blue Suede Shoes2 – lot #4002 that was sold for $1,200. Others include 1962 Shelby cobra CSX, 1971 Plymouth HEMI Superbird, and 1977 Pontiac Firebird Trans AmSE, which were sold for $1,500, $3,000, and $3,000, respectively.
Every NFT was produced in an edition of only one and will include three high-resolution digital pictures and a movie celebrating the auction of the selected vehicle at Barrett-Jackson.
