The company announced yesterday that it had purchased a purchase order contract in collaboration with Texas A&M University with the Kentucky State University. The purchase order in question is initially for PLs or post-larvae shrimp, which are going to be sent to the universities in relation to a research program. The research program in question is involved with food nutrition and food practices that are sustainable.
It was a significant new development for Gold River Productions considering the fact that both universities are known worldwide for being leading researchers in the field of aquaculture species.
However, it should be noted that the study into post-larvae shrimp is going to be part of a much larger study, which is going to include some of the major universities in the United States, 34 states in the country, and some industry partners at a global level. Some of the industry partners include such names as Tyson Foods and Mars Inc among others.
