A company that may be worth tracking this morning is Atlantic Power & Infrastructure Corp (OTCMKTS:AWSL) after it came into the news cycle yesterday following a key development. On Wednesday it emerged that it’s United Kingdom-based subsidiary KB Industries UK Ltd and its fully owned subsidiary KB Industries Inc worked jointly on the completion of the installation of a part of the Trans Pennine Trail.
Atlantic Power and Infrastructure Corp Installs Flexi(R)-Pave in United Kingdom’s Renowned Trans Pennine Trail
The companies used as many as 15064 used trucks and car tires in order to complete that section. It was a significant new development for Atlantic Power & Infrastructure considering the fact that the section saved as much as 331411 KGs of CO2, which could have harmed the environment considerably if those tires had been burned instead.
In addition to that, it was further announced that the installation of Flexi Pave had also been welcomed with great warmth by the communities in Derbyshire and Yorkshire.
On the other hand, it was noted in yesterday’s press release that it was the intention of KB Industries to secure work on more sections of the Trans Pennine Trail for installing Flexi Pave. The Trans Pennine Trail is a fairly popular route that is often used by cyclists, horse riders and walkers.
