US-based critical minerals exploration company Xtra Energy Corp (OTC:XTPT) announced the acquisition of an additional 1,240 acres in the Big Creek District of Nevada. The newly secured land surrounds the historic Bray-Beulah Mine and Hard Luck-Pradier workings—both known for high-grade antimony production—significantly strengthening Xtra Energy’s foothold in one of the country’s most storied antimony corridors.
The acquisition marks a key milestone in the company’s strategy to reestablish a reliable domestic supply of antimony, a critical mineral used in energy storage, flame retardants, and defense applications. Situated near the company’s flagship American Antimony Project, the new claims provide access to underexplored areas with known mineralization and legacy production history.

Big Creek’s mining history dates back to the 1860s, with intermittent antimony production continuing through the mid-20th century. Despite its historical significance, much of the region remains unexplored using modern techniques. With this expansion, Xtra Energy aims to evaluate remnant ore, explore untapped extensions, and accelerate the development of its national antimony platform—further solidifying its role as a domestic leader in critical minerals development.
