Skylight Health Group Inc. (NASDAQ: SLHG) has announced the acquisition of Doctors Centre Inc., a primary care group with four locations in Jacksonville in Florida.
As the acquisition expands, Skylight’s primary care clinics network brings the total to 23 locations in five states. Similarly, the acquisition will expand the patient count to 6,000 with numerous value-based care program opportunities. The strategic acquisition enhances the providers and patient density in Northeast Florida.

For more than three decades, Doctor’s Centre has been offering primary care services in Jacksonville. Most interestingly, the practice comprises five providers and 6,000 locations operating in four locations. Both teams will collaborate under the Skylight Health Platform to offer enhanced patient services and provider support under aligned and improved contracts under health payors such as Medicaid and Medicare.

Skylight Health appoints Kit Brekhus as CMO
The company recently appointed Dr. Kit Brekhus as its Chief Medical Officer. Brekhus will succeed Dr. Georges Feghali, who has been the company’s CMO since February 2021. Feghali will continue serving Skylight Health in an advisory role.
