OPTEC International Inc. (OTCMKTS: OPTI) has entered a renewable energy mining partnership with BTC mining company Solteir and its co-founders Andrew Insignares and Jesse Fastenberg following the recent disruption of mining in Miami.
OPTEC International partners with Solteir
The test program will utilize OPTEC International’s Solar Panelled Generators in mining BTC at Solteir’s mining facility located in Bradford County, Pennsylvania, with operations expected to commence in the early fall of 2021. After the initial program, the companies will shift the solar mining solutions to Carlsbad, one of the secure warehouses and distribution owned by OPTEC, where they gradually scale operations. Interestingly, OPTEC will be the main solar-powered products provider to Solteir.
Crytpo pioneer Aleksandr Lichtenstein helped broker the arrangement, and he was introduced to OPTEC through WeShield, which is a subsidiary of OPTEC. Solteir is a cryptocurrency mining data center built by crypto miners for miners. The company offers affordable managed hosting solutions for cryptocurrency miners as a full-lifecycle, full-service host of GPU and ASIC mining equipment. In addition, they can provide cost-effective solutions for miners thanks to innovative monitoring software and inexpensive electricity access.
Solteir delighted with the pilot program with OPTEC International
Jesse Fastenberg, the Solteir co-founder, said, “We are very excited to be announcing our pilot solar partnership with OPTEC International. At this year’s annual Mining Disrupt Conference in Miami, there were so many conversations about mining with cleaner renewable energy and our responsibility to do so for the betterment of society.”
Michael Sinensky, WeyShield CEO, stated, “From the moment WeShield execs laid eyes on OPTEC’s suite of solar products, we knew there was a huge opportunity to utilize OPTEC solar generators to mine Bitcoin and put less environmental stress on the planet. This deal will allow us to dip our toes into a huge ocean of possibilities in this fast growing and essential renewable energy sector.”
