The Direct Selling Association (DSA) report states that the direct-selling channel led to a whopping $40.1 billion in retail sales in 2020. It is definitely a sharp rise when compared to last year! The number of persons selling products or services via direct-selling models has also gone up by 13.2%. Over 7 million entrepreneurs in the US are working part-time or full-time. In fact, 41.6 million preferred customers and discount buyers have purchased via the direct-sales platform in 2020.
Sharing Services Global (OTCMKTS:SHRG), a publicly traded company specializing in the direct-sales sector, is set to benefit greatly from this trend (direct sales shot up by almost 14% in 2020 in the US). The company looks forward to rebrand its subsidiary (The Happy Co.) that operates in this space, while ramping up its direct-sales efforts.
Launched in February 2021, The Happy Co. offers functional beverages, capsules, patches and creams that boost mood, enhance energy, improve sleep, tighten skin and increase muscles, while minimizing stress and fat. Users look and feel younger and more confident. The products are nootropics – derived from food sources that offer health benefits more than basic nutritional value.
DSA president Joseph N. Mariano states that direct sellers are excellent micro-entrepreneurs, who can adapt to customer needs and changing scenarios quickly. He adds that DSA and its members have worked hard to ensure that customers and salespeople alike can rely upon the highest level of business ethics.
