The nanotechnology company Fendx Technologies Inc. (OTC:FDXTF), which is involved in the development of surface protection coatings, was in focus last Friday after it announced that it aimed to have real-world testing of its REPELWRAP film.
The testing would take place at a senior living and memory care community named Island View Place Care. The company noted in the news release that it was in engagement with the firm Dumnore International Inc. to conduct the pilot test runs on the commercial manufacturing line so as to make the manufacturing process as efficient as possible.
The aim of the process was to develop films for testing in a real-world environment. Following the completion of the manufacturing process at Dunmore, Fendx Technologies would begin the testing process at Island View Place Care. Island View is situated in Saanichton and offers care of the highest quality at its facility built for senior citizens and those who may be in need of memory-related care. As per the provisions of a letter of intent, the testing process would be based on the application of REBELWRAP film to surfaces that are touched frequently at the facility.
Eventually, the performance of REBELWRAP would be judged over a period of around four weeks so as to confirm if the film could match its repelling performance recorded at the lab at McMaster University.
However, in this context, it should be noted that on May 3, Fendx Technologies announced that it was going to conduct real-world testing of its product at the award-winning Italian fine dining restaurant Giuletta. At the restaurant, the high-touch surfaces would be covered with REBELWRAP. Following the latest announcement, the company now boasts of two sites where real-world testing of its REBELWRAP product will be conducted.
