US domestic uranium developer enCore Energy Corp (OTCMKTS:ENCUF) on July 20, 2021 gave an update on the South Texas Uranium Operations. After acquiring assets from Westwater Resources in December last year, enCore Energy has executed strategy on becoming newest in-situ recovery uranium producer in the U.S. Some of the highlights shared by company include acquisition of mineral properties in historic resource areas, located 75 miles within the Rosita Central Processing Plant.
The properties demonstrate future production projects for feeding the plant. Encore will commence upgrade and refurbishment of the facility expected to be complete by 2022. The firm is making preparation of application to Texas state for starting drilling. enCore Energy Corp is also aiming at relocation of its corporate office to corpus Christi, Texas and is working towards completing surface reclamation as well as decommissioning work at the former Vasquez ISR project.
Paul Goranson, enCore Energy Chief Executive Officer said that the team has been implementing South Texas strategy prioritising restoration of the Rosita processing facility for production capability in the next few years.
Goranson said that the firm will carry on with its initiatives, meet key milestones while nuclear energy may establish itself as the low carbon emissions and sustainable energy source. enCore Energy Corp is led by industry experts having experience and knowledge in operations and development of in situ recovery uranium operations.
